Abstract
This paper describes investigations on the assessment of measurement uncertainties due to white and colored noise spectra on sampled data for electrical alternating (ac) power. The analysis were corroborated by measurements and can be extended to other synchronous sampling systems yielding a detailed evaluation of noise effects, once their spectral power density is known.
