Abstract :
Summary form only given. Perovskite manganites La/sub 1-x/(Ca,Ba,Sr)/sub x/MnO/sub 3/ attracted much attention due to their colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect. The CMR effect of La/sub 1-x/(Ca, Ba, Sr)/sub x/MnO/sub 3/ usually occurs near the Curie temperature, accompanying the metal-insulator transition. We report the enhancement of the room temperature magnetoresistance in La/sub 0.67/Sr/sub 0.33/MnO/sub 3/ doped with Cr.
