  • Abstract
The paper is aimed at reduction of the content of spatial harmonics of a current layer, air-gap magnetic flux density and flux in yokes of induction machines with the combined stator winding. The reduction of the content of higher spatial harmonics results in improvement of efficiency of induction machines. The analysis is carried out using the theory of space vectors and symmetrical components of instantaneous values. On the basis of the obtained results an IM prototype was designed and manufactured. The results of the first experimental measurements of this machine are shown.
