Abstract
Magnetoelectric sensor belongs to the passive piezo sensors based on the coupling between magnetic and electric energies or signals. There is great scientific interest at the moment in the magnetoelectric (ME) coupling; different ME materials and structures has been studied and proposed. However most of previous study is focused on the magnetic field detection system with single ME sensor, and we present a first order gradiometer based low noise magnetoelectric sensor system in this letter; common mode noise could be eliminated based on this structure. Ultra sensitive magnetic sensor operating at room temperature used for bio signal detection like biomagnetic liver susceptometry (BLS) could be realized because of its high sensitivity and high saturation field.
