Abstract
Cellular automata provide a convenient philosophical and mathematical background for the analysis and description of parallel algorithms and of biocomputing and cellular neural networks with extremely high processing speeds and cell densities. Theorems pertaining to cellular automata are presented. Cellular automata can be used for the calculation of linear differential operators represented in the form of finite differences, and thus for solving differential equations on integer grids. In addition, cellular rules for graphic operations on cellular automata with a small number of states have been found
