Abstract :
An active noise control system equipped with conventional linear control techniques performs suboptimally when noise is non-Gaussian, chaotic or the actuator is non-minimum phase. Then, a nonlinear controller may be used which consists of two linear and nonlinear parts. A well-known model used for this purpose is the Volterra series. In this paper, we propose the use of Hammerstein series in nonlinear modeling with much less complexity compared to the Volterra series. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed technique.
