Abstract :
This paper describes a MMW-over-fiber system for a future personal communications system and presents experimental results using analog FM and digital QPSK signals. It clarifies the limit of the propagation distance within which a required SNR can be obtained with the FM signal. The system´s bit error rate characteristics when digital QPSK signals are transmitted is also examined. The results verify the system´s ability to transmit digital signals with a transmission capacity of 35 Mbps. In addition to system performance, several key technologies for building this system are described
