Abstract :
At a centralized signal intersection in the central business district of an urban area in Shiga Prefecture, the Shiga Prefectural Police HQ has been promoting the securing of safe and smooth traffic by implementing both multi-phase control and train-interlocked control with the emphasis on the safety of trains, motor vehicles, and pedestrians. This paper introduces the configuration, functions and operations of this train-interlocked control system operating satisfactorily at the centralized signal intersection
