Abstract :
This paper presents a method to color balance images. This method is useful for correcting images in video conferencing, where multiple video sources are displayed and each image has a different “look”. The advantages of this approach are that it does not require a color reference object in each image, i.e. no a priori knowledge of the scene is required, that it can be used on the entire image, and that it is simple to implement. Preliminary results show that our approach can successfully correct images to appear more uniform and visually pleasing
