Abstract :
In order to cope with the problems of disfluency and slow respondence of computer when processing large volume of point cloud, the paper proposes an solution based on virtual memory technology, valid data structure, effective algorithms and OpenGL technology and so on to quickly and accurately build 3d model. The above research is implemented by VC++ 6.0 program language and OpenGL 3D graphic library on Windows XP platform based object-oriented method. Point cloud acquired by laser scanner inside an old architecture is used as test data. Practices prove that the solution brought forward in the paper does well.
