  • Abstract
Several inverse analysis methods are used to estimate temperature dependent thermal conductivity components of orthotropic solid. Solutions of inverse heat conduction problems using Bayesian approach, Genetic algorithms and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm are compared. The inverse solution of estimation for thermal conductivity components are obtained by computing the expectations of the posterior probability density functions of the thermal conductivity components. Genetic Algorithms are relatively new techniques for optimization and estimation. This technique can also be applied to the solution of inverse problems. Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm also can be used to solve nonlinear inverse problem of the parameter estimation.
