Abstract
The effects of generation sources within a distribution network on the network performance is investigated in this paper. Distribution generation is compared with the shifting of a transformer towards a load centre for its effectiveness in maintaining voltage levels, reducing losses and improving the system efficiency of a distribution network. The study shows distribution generation to be more technically effective
