Abstract :
Designing effective constructivist learning environments is always a challenge for educators. Web 2.0 tools provide new dimensions to venture in new pedagogies. These ICT-based pedagogies have potentials of bringing in constructivist and collaborative learning experiences. These new approaches demand new evaluation strategies. Process evaluation, here, becomes a major concern. Explorations and researches in this area will, in turn, contribute largely to the development of learners for knowledge society. The paper presents such an attempt of arranging a collaborative learning environment in online mode. The study was undertaken to test effectiveness of using WebQuests in higher education, where the WebQuests tasks were performed through Microblogging. The paper presents achievement test results, analysis of opinions of learners towards their learning experiences as well as analysis of the peer interactions through Microblogging.
