Abstract :
A starter library of FENDL-3.0 was released in 2012 as an update for the current reference library FENDL-2.1. We carried out calculations using the ITER computational benchmark that was used previously for validation and testing of earlier versions of FENDL. Results for flux, heating, dpa, and gas production were obtained with FENDL-3.0 and compared to the results with FENDL-2.1. The results indicate that using FENDL-3.0 yields higher and harder neutron flux in components that are heavily shielded by water-cooled steel, such as the vacuum vessel and magnet, compared to FENDL-2.1. This is reflected in increased nuclear parameters in the vacuum vessel and magnets.
