Abstract :
This paper describes development of small and portable equipment for sensing and marking vein position by near infrared rays (NIR). The small equipment works automatically to sense a vein by NIR and to stamp a mark to indicate the vein position on arm. The sensed vein is the thickest in the sensing area. The equipment is small and portable, and it is easy to use the equipment. We designed and made up system of a hardware and a software to control the equipment. We worked experimentally actual developed equipment on the real arm. The developed equipment sensed a vein on the arm, and stamped the vein position. The results have shown the usefulness of the developed equipment on the real arm.
