Abstract :
A remote communication experiment was conducted to examine the effect of 3D images on social interaction in a music education setting. Students played a set piece after watching the teacher´s model performance images. A questionnaire analysis shows that students´ emotions, such as their respect for the teacher and pressure from the teacher, are correlated with their own evaluation of their understanding of the model performance and their performances in the 3D condition although such correlations are not found in the 2D condition.
