Abstract
Experimental investigation of electrical properties of Portland cement concretes (PCCs) at microwave frequencies is presented in this paper. An equivalent electric circuit including conductance and susceptance is used for modeling of electrical properties of PCC specimens at early ages. Experimental results demonstrate that electric conductance can be used to identify the different subsurface moisture content of the PCCs, and thereby mechanical properties of PCCs can be predicted.
