Abstract
For a high-current planar diode with discrete emitting surface, dependence of current on emission center size is obtained. If the distance between the centers largely exceeds their size R than I~(RU/D) 3/2 where D is the diode gap. The condition of impedance constancy during the pulse for a high-current diode requires the constancy of electric field pressure on the cathode surface
