Abstract
Electronic voting has the potential to be the most reliable, secure and trustworthy voting approach. Digital technology including error correction, robust storage and cryptographic security offers the possibility to record, transmit, store and count votes far more reliably than paper. This research area has been quite productive, with numerous directions explored and fascinating techniques developed. In this paper, we review the researches on the electronic voting schemes toward trustworthy voting system and discuss the issues about several important properties and challenges.
