Abstract :
The paper deals with data scanned by airborne LiDAR Trimble Harrier 68i built in the flying carrier PA-34 Seneca and their utilization for position monitoring of overhead power lines conductors. Monitoring of protection corridors, close surroundings of conductors and their heights above ground facilitates prevention of dangerous situation arising, which could jeopardize humans which can be found in the area of power line, as well as prevention of line´s failure states that lead to financial losses connected with physical deterioration of the line or/and with energy not supplied to consumers.
