Abstract :
We have demonstrated high-speed optical TDM demultiplexing using a semiconductor optical amplifier based on Mach-Zehnder and Michelson interferometers. Demultiplexing of 40 Gb/sec and 80 Gb/sec data streams down to their 100 b/sec tributaries has been achieved error free. 160 Gb/sec demultiplexing should be achievable with further improvements in the device design
