Abstract :
The optimal designs are investigated for a wireless resonant energy link with symmetrical coil pair. The symmetry of coils is necessary in power supply network among mobile robots where each robot transmits or receives power occasionally. Internal resistance of coils is considered in relation to the coil configuration. As a result, the designs are obtained for the transmission efficiency maximum or for the effective power supply maximum. In addition, it is found that any combination of the efficiency and power supply is possible provided the link is driven over a critical frequency. Experimental results are shown that roughly confirm some of the theoretical results.
