Abstract :
The application of fuzzy-logic controllers in speed-sensorless high-dynamic performance induction motor drives is discussed. Two different types of drives are considered, the first contains an open-loop flux estimator and the second uses an extended Luenberger-observer-based flux estimator. Different digital controller implementations are also discussed. Both simulation and experimental results are shown for a fully digital DSP-based VSI-fed induction motor drive utilising space vector modulation. It is shown that for real-time implementations in an AC motor drive fuzzy controllers offer great potential
