Abstract
Measuring performance is an important aspect of electrical safety. It is possibly not well understood or is a neglected process by the electrical community that must implement the Electrical Safety Program. Auditing is a recognized tool in the Occupational Health & Safety Management System Standards and in demonstrating due diligence to Occupational Health & Safety Regulations. This paper reviews the Electrical Safety Audit Process and a large oil and gas corporation´s experience in having eight (8) detailed Electrical Safety Audits completed for their major oil and gas production complexes where an Electrical Safety Program has been implemented.
