Abstract
This paper describes a concept of the security framework for plant floor network systems. In particular, this concept is suitable for embedded computers and real-time control systems. First, we describe our hypothesis of future control systems, and we analyze the security features of plant control systems. Then we summarize the security functions specific to control network systems, and the ideal security features for control network systems. Finally, we explain the prototype controller that we developed in terms of its ideal features. The prototype controller is able to use an eTRON chip that has an encryption accelerator
