Abstract :
This paper discusses the concept of energy harvesting using Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) piezoelectric ribbons. Unlike the conventional cantilever method of energy harvesting, the possibility of stretching a PVDF ribbon between two rigid supports has been explored to generate energy. An impedance matching circuit has been designed to harvest maximum amount of energy from the PVDF strips.
