  • Abstract
Publish/Subscribe system is an asynchronous and multi-point communication system, which decouples communication space from communication time and control flow completely. It adapts well to highly dynamic network environments and data-centric networks. This paper presents an Opportunistic Networks based Message Publish/Subscribe Scheme (ONMPSS), which can calculate the number of subscription requests and respond events according to the communication frequency between different nodes adaptively. The evaluation results demonstrate that ONMPSS can balance well the tradeoff between delivery ratio and resource consumption in community-based opportunistic networks. The simulation results show that ONMPSS outperforms Epidemic and Direct Transmission algorithms on both delay ratio and resource consumption.
