Abstract :
A modified selective automatic-repeat-request (S-ARQ) scheme is proposed as an error-correction scheme for the NASA ground communication facility upgrade communication system. The operation of this scheme is presented and illustrated by examples. An analysis of queue and buffer requirements for this scheme is also presented. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm
