Construction of rural public goods is not only the guarantee of regular social operation, but also the requirement of making overall planning for urban and rural economic development as well as social harmony. Under the background of country urbanization, public goods provision should be lifted to a higher level. It has been urgent to reform the original rural public goods provision institution. This paper will do review on the research of public goods provision of rural community from aspects of theory foundation, related concept development, functions of government, community organization and civil organization, etc. It´s suggested to provide governments possible thoughts, and to point out the future theoretical research direction.
