Abstract
In this paper we present the use of computational intelligence to adjust the circuit values. With this method, many values can be varied simultaneously. The circuit topology is kept constant and the element values are generated using particle swarm optimization. We present several implementations of the technique and how it is utilized to solve typical pulsed power problems. For example, a circuit model of the University of Missouri Terawatt Test Stand is generated from load waveforms. With this technique we are able to determine which circuit elements most affect the load electrical response (load current risetime, magnitude, etc.).
