Abstract :
A method is suggested for estimating the time course of the active state pulse from the shape of the mean tension-frequency plot. This method makes no assumptions about passive muscle-load dynamics. It does assume that the active state pulse is symmetrical and that the muscle-load system faithfully transmits the mean force. This method can be used to estimate changes in the active state pulse due to fatigue
