Abstract :
This paper describes the 100 kV, 10 kVA repetitive impulse current generator. Its repetitive rate is adjustable from 1/60 to 10 pps. The charging efficiency is more than 90%. A three electrode repetitive spark gap can be operated from several kilovolts to 100 kV. At the repetitive rate of 10 shots per second, the impulse current was measured to be about 10 kA, and the pulsed power of one shot was 1/spl times/10/sup 8/ W.
