Abstract
Variations of the Channel State Information (CSI) between 2 CSI samples is a major source of performance degradation for Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) schemes on fast fading channel. In this paper, we present a novel AMC design that highly improves the channel availability in those conditions. Based on a low complexity design which uses only one outdated CSI value, and without explicit knowledge of the fading process properties (rate and auto-correlation function), the proposed scheme significantly increases channel availability with low CSI update rate.
