  • Abstract
This paper introduces the particularities of the regulatory framework in Russian Federation compared to other countries, the world´s leading car exporters. It focuses on the frequency spectrum allocation for safety improvement and communication systems as a part of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) that are built in the cars. Overlooking these regulatory differences could cause rejection of legal export to the Russian Federation of the new models of vehicles or a need for structural changes that lead to the weakening of the security requirements. A solution to this problem is to harmonize established in the Russian Federation requirements for Radio Electronic Equipment that is built in the ITS with the technical requirements that are set by other countries.
