Abstract :
A study of isolation enhancement for dual-polarized slot-loop antenna (DPSLA) is presented in this paper. For the purpose of optimizing the port isolation and polarization isolation, we compared three types of feeding scheme, including microstrip line, CPW, and slotline feeds. Both analytical modeling and numerical simulation are presented. Prototype of the presented antenna based on the optimal slotline-fed design was built and measured for verification. A good agreement between simulation and measurement was achieved. Additionally, an effective tuning technique of port isolation for DPSLA is provided in this paper.
