Abstract
This paper presents the modelling of a power electronic system using SIMULINK software. The power electronic system is a bi-directional DC/DC conversion system consisting of two three-phase voltage source converters linked by an ac link. A simple switching transfer function method is used to model the voltage source converters (VSC). A current controller and a voltage controller are respectively used for the two VSC. The model of the power electronic system has been constructed in SIMULINK. The performance of the system has been studied. It has been demonstrated that SIMULINK can effectively be used for power electronic system studies.
