Abstract :
A new triggering scheme for large-capacity intermittent rectifier system is proposed in this paper. The proposed scheme will adjust the gate trigger pulses according to thyristor anode-to-cathode voltage to optimize the thyristor performance. Furthermore, a high-speed real-time thyristor fault diagnosis scheme is also integrated into the triggering scheme. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified by high energy pulsed power experiments.
