  • Abstract
    Capacitor Pulse Power is the main form of the high pulsed power for railgun. The LC series resonance is the typical charger. It is suitable for capacitor charging, but must match well with the charged capacitor network in impedance. The paper gives a LCL series-parallel resonance charger. It can be used in many high power occasions, has adoption for capacitor of different capacities and has smaller requirement of filter. The new type charging circuit also has equivalent high efficiency as the LC type. The paper shows the simulation of the circuit in both constant current charging status and constant voltage charging status. In the end the paper give the results of experiment on an 8200uF capacitor.
