Abstract
Piracy is infringement of the legal property rights that are associated with the work produced as a result of any individual´s intellect. Piracy in its crude form includes every domain like multimedia, software, etc. Piracy of videos is more in practice than piracy of any other item online. On the other hand, Video has revolutionized the world to the maximum and it has its place in day to day activities of every human being. They have a very large economic value and copying and illegally distributing them is resulting in a huge loss both in terms of money and intellectuality. In this paper, we are presenting a technique which aims to detect and prevent a replicated video from being uploaded into the web. Results have shown that this can serve as a standard at the server end, verifying for the authenticity of a video and thus protecting the copyrights of an individual. Further, this cannot be easily reverse engineered like those of traditional watermarking techniques.
