Abstract :
A fuzzy H∞ control is proposed to design an active rotor magnetic bearing system. Fuzzy logic is combined with an LMI based H∞ output feedback design to maintain the rotor shaft centered in the bearings. The proposed method can afford to reinforce the robust stabilizing capability under high speed rotation, because the fuzzy control offers the blending of sub-optimal control laws for the parameter varying system
