Abstract :
A novel method is introduced to design a single layer, large printed reflectarray with double cross loop elements of variable size. Different classes of cross loop elements were used in the design of the reflectarray elements. Noting the larger relative bandwidth, the dimensions of the cross loops are adjusted, using an optimization technique to achieve required phase distribution at the centre frequency and minimize frequency dispersion at band edge frequencies.
