Abstract :
An insufficient isolation between a transmitter and a receiver in Electronic Warfare(EW) equipments makes the feedback of the transmitted noise jamming signal into the receiver and, finally, results in interfering the reception of the pulse signals of the receiver. These phenomena make it difficult to perform a pulse jamming together with a noise jamming in the same frequency range. In this paper, we propose a switch-matrix Tx/Rx control which effectively manages the transmitter and the receiver according to the status of jamming on a time-sharing basis. This technique was implemented in the EW test bed and its efficiency was verified by the experiments. The proposed technique enables the pulse jamming and the noise jamming to be simultaneously performed in a multiple jamming environment.
