Abstract :
A FDTD based model is set up to calculate metallic electromagnetic band gap structure for both square and triangular lattice. The defect modes of metallic photonic crystals line waveguide are studied in detail, the operating mode are found in the 0th gap. A T-bend coupler with metallic inclusions is simulated on the basis of band computing.
