Abstract :
This paper deals with the problem of admission control when different traffic media with different quality of service (QOS) requirements are sharing a CDMA (code division multiple access) channel. We propose an adaptive access control method based on the equivalent bandwidth theory and cell load measurements. Our algorithm allows efficient integration of speech and low bit rate video in an outdoor CDMA cellular network in the presence of interference from neighboring cells
