Abstract :
An analysis is made of the performance of an optical source which was designed beginning with the external feedback of a traveling wave optical amplifier (TWOA). The proposed structure is analyzed using a computer model which is based on traveling wave and carrier equations. From the simulation characteristic curves (output power, spectral quality, etc.) have been obtained, which show the performance that this type of source can offer in optical fiber communication systems. The authors infer conclusions from the results
