Abstract :
This paper investigates images distorted by turbulence and additive detection noise. A series of short-exposure images of the object as well as the long term autocorrelation function of the optical transfer function are assumed to be known. The authors are investigating the use of speckle interferometer techniques to obtain the Fourier modulus and the Knox-Thompson method to obtain the phase of extended objects. Modelling examples are given
