China has made the miracle that its GDP growth rate keeps being 9% in 30 years. However, at the same time, its employment pressure is increasing year by year. In recent years, the amount of registered urban unemployed population keeps being above of 8 million. The unemployment rate rises to 4.3%, and the amount of rural surplus labor is beyond 150 million. Some research shows that, the economic growth didn´t bring the employment growth in China. High unemployment not only causes the waste of human resource, but also leads to social instability. Therefore, the study of labor employment in high-speed economic growth of China is meaningful to the sustainable development, promoting full social employment and richening economic growth and employment theory both in theory and reality. Excepting the huge population base, writer analyzes the employment effect of industrial structure, labor force structure, technology progress and capital substitute, implementation of the labor law and employment quality of China, then finds out the source of high employment pressure, and puts forward the counter plan on alleviating unemployment under high-speed economic growth.
