Abstract
A method is proposed for measuring the ground moving target velocity via the electro-optical payload. The mathematical model for measuring the target velocity is established, which has 15 variables, including aircraft velocity, aircraft attitude angular rate, camera direction angular rate and so on. The simulation results show that angular rates and laser ranging value rate have a strong influence on the velocity measurement accuracy. The aircraft should track the moving target well, which indicates the direction for improving velocity measurement accuracy.
