Abstract :
We introduce an SS7 gateway that enables Internet elements to communicate with telephone network elements. Methods for implementing this gateway were classified in terms of the coverage area and traffic capacity. We also discuss schemes for introducing the SS7 gateway and map them to the implementation methods.
