  • Abstract
A subspace-based method for multiple-target localization by multi-input multi-output (MIMO) array is presented in this paper. Because the covariance matrix of reflected signals from targets at different locations is always nonsingular as a result of mutual orthogonality among the signals transmitted by MIMO array, estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance technique (ESPRIT) algorithm can be directly applied to the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation problem of the MIMO array without spatial smoothing (SS) techniques beforehand. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
